Cutting down to the chase....In 2003, I gushed my heart out to a chick who I thought had the hots for me. I was in Senior high then and was in the prime of my adolescence. I pulled out all the stops for her, bought some toblerone, a bunny, and a pendant that some shady guy at a boutique in Nicon Hilton for about 17 geez(yes ooh, i remember naaw, afterall sharpguy papa na accountant) ....THe bouncing wey that shikk give me ehn, infact, my blood pressure increases whenever I think about it ...

Flashback over, THe remarkable thing happened yesterday; my boss kinda asked me out( i will say kinda because she dint say it in plain terms. She asked me what I was doing tomorrow(which is today and then she asked me if she could book that time). I agreed, not knowing what I was letting myself into.

When I got to her crib(well, it wasn't anything I hadn't seen<>) and then i slowly found out that her hubby was deceased and she wanted someone to go with her to the memorial site. To crown things up, my stupid paddy(Rose), is it wrong to have a female paddy???, called and reminded me bout our "date"......reason for this?? we go out on a date before vals day to remind ourselves that we are not like the val-groupies who go out only on vals day.(we still go out on different dates on Vals day though).

Mayne my fingers are aching, i will post the rest later jor........

FUNNY AS HECK.....

As You Don bash my car....

.....One oyinbo guy bash my car yesterday around 11 am, and he thought I was the driver. I sharply reminded him not to talk anyhow to me and then some of the newspaper vendors who had tasted of my christmas/new year generosity sharted mean-muggin on him, i mean they were about to "arrange his clothes properly". I promptly told them not to and he brought out his business card, about 60k in 1000 naira notes(when i counted it sha, i saw it was about 40something sha) and sped away. The guy was probably lebanese or better yet, of Arabic ancestry. I was feeling good with myself when all those murrafuckas started hailing me as their area father who takes good care of his children and so, i had to part with a good 12geez(abeg ooh, i dey feel credit crunch, i no be purebred ajebor).

Thank God For His Protection and all the good things He blesses us with....

........I wish that guy had given me 60 geez sha......

Eye contact, 9ja style....

I was at the Aristotle getting my grown man on(sha, i was sipping on some random wine and reading thisday) and i saw this fine lady staring at me. Initially, I glanced back, smiled and then continued my analysis of the talented Mr. Simon Kolawole's column, but then (you know how when someone stares at you, you get that "eye drilling into ur soul effect" right?) I had this feeling that she was still staring at me. So, what to do? I started pumping my morale up cuz u see, this mamacita was fine. I need to post the various forms of beauty for y'all to get what i am saying.See eh, she fine no be small, and then she was crossing her legs just to drink soda ooh.

Anyways, I started pumping myself up morale-wise:

'' Sharp-guy, you too mush, oya, arrange ur suit well well, check whether ur mouth dey smell of wine".

I quickly started cewing on some tictacs when I still tried to check on the lady. Some other sharp-baba(baba in the sense that he was actually looking like my dad) walked past me, pulled the opposite seat next to her and then started ranting away. I could even hear his effing retarded laughter. 1 minute turned to 2 and from there to 5 minutes. i started getting pissed when all of a sudden he got up and fumed away.

Capitalizing on the misfortune of this dulling wanker, i sharply got up, walked towards her and as i was stretching my hand to shake hers and introduce myself, I pulled it back and said "ooh i am sorry". I turned around and smiled to myself, because this was one of my plays. he he

Sha, she fell for it and then said "please wait, I think I know you from somewhere"

I couldn't dull myself anymore and then i turned to her, smiled and asked her where she knew me from. She said that she knew me from Unique tutorials and then we shared our many tales of uncle Joe and the others, talked at great length and then I asked,

"Why was your dad annoyed with you"

"ooh my gosh, that was not my daddy you dim-pet" she replied.

Now, i did not know the meaning of the word dim-pet, but the janded accent she used to reply it was soo sweet that I just laughed in my most I-am -not-tripping voice. She then explained that she was actually trying to read the caption of my newspaper and that was why she was staring(WTF RIGHT??). She also said that when she saw the face behind the paper, she was contemplating the right manner of approach and how to meet me.

TO ROUND THINGS UP, your guy Mr. Sharp guy got them digits(etisalat ooh yeah), and well, I am planning on calling her.........to call or not to call.....that is the question now...

What's happening y'all? Just came in from Las gidi lol (I have always wanted to use that phrase) and I realized the stark contrast between Lagos and Abuja the moment i stepped out of the plane. No offence to our aje-butters out there, but if u think that Lagos is too harsh, think again. GRAMMY NEWS....

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - R&B diva Beyonce dominated the 52nd Grammys here Sunday with six awards, edging out country star Taylor Swift who finished the music industry extravaganza with four prizes.

Beyonce -- who had topped the nominations with 10 nods -- won the prestigious Song of the Year award for her hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)", which also earned her the best female R&B vocal award.

The former Destiny's Child singer also snagged Grammys for best R&B song for "Single Ladies" and best contemporary R&B album for her chart-topping "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" as well as best traditional R&B vocal performance for "At Last."

"Wow, thank you so much. This has been such an amazing night for me," Beyonce said after collecting the best female pop vocal performance, her sixth award of the night at the Staples Center.

However Beyonce -- who dazzled the audience with an electrifying performance -- was forced to share the honors in the other blue riband categories of Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

Swift scored a stunning victory in Album of the Year for "Fearless" while the Kings of Leon looked as surprised as anyone else when they were named winners of Record of the Year for "Use Somebody."

"Oh my god," Swift said after winning Album of the Year. "I just hope that you know how much this means to me. Oh my god.

Swift's "Fearless" also won her best country album.

"I just keep thinking back to when you're in second grade and you sing at your talent show and people say 'Maybe we'll see you at the Grammys one day' and it feels like an impossible dream," the 20-year-old said. "I just feel like I'm standing here accepting an impossible dream right now."

Swift, who had received eight nominations also won for best female country vocal performance for her single "White Horse" and followed it up with victory in the best country song category for the same track.

Meanwhile the Kings of Leon were wrong-footed by their Record of the Year success. "I'm not going to lie we're a little drunk but we're happy drunk," said frontman Caleb Followill.

Elsewhere Sunday, oddball New York singer Lady Gaga picked up two Grammys with her smash hit single "Poker Face" taking best dance recording of the year and "The Fame" winning best dance album.

Pop powerhouses the Black Eyed Peas also enjoyed success, picking up three Grammys for best short form music video, best pop performance by a duo or group and best pop vocal album.

Indian composer A.R. Rahman was also another early winner, scooping two Grammys for his music from the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire."

Rahman won in the best compilation soundtrack for a motion picture category before his "Jai Ho" won in the best motion picture song category moments later.

"This is insane, god is great again," Rahman said as he accepted his second award before a VIP audience.

The Grammy success comes after Rahman earned two Oscars for his music in "Slumdog Millionaire" at last year's Academy Awards.

One of the most popular segments of the show was a tribute to tragic "King of Pop" Michael Jackson which saw Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher give a rendition of his track "Earth Song."

Michael Jackson's children Prince and Paris accept their dad's Lifetime Achievement Award

The performance saw the star-studded audience rise to their feet for an ovation before Jackson's two eldest children Prince Michael and Paris appeared to accept a lifetime achievement award on behalf of their late father.

Meanwhile Rihanna enjoyed a triumph of sorts after winning in the best rap/sung collaboration category for "Run This Town" with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Rihanna was assaulted before last year's Grammy ceremony by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, an incident which largely overshadowed the awards.
