Are you kidding me? When is it ever okay to let someone inject your booty with bathtub caulk? Women are also having Botox injected in their rears to achieve a butt lift without the implants. Like all of the others, this procedure is also illegal and has to be performed on the down-low. I remember back in high school, DamiLare purposely got into trouble because he heard that his twin brother Damilola was going to caned on the assembly hall...It was stupid, but awesome at the same time...i wished I had someone like that at that moment.... and I don't regret it. BUT, I have a friend who has had a lot of female best-friends and each time he gets close to them, they start developing feelings for each other. I know that guys find it more difficult not to get attracted to the other lady, but hey, who beg u make u no sabi hold ur konji?

Friendships can be complicated, like any other relationships, but how complicated can a platonic friendship be? Ladies, can you have a man be your BFF? If you are in an existing romantic relationship, then jealousy and insecurity are bound to cause arguments. Guys, does she have the right to be? Absolutely! Based on my experience, bonding and spending a lot of time together with a female friend can make you confused about how you feel about her or her about you. That love can be mistaken for “in love” love or infatuation because you get along so well, or simply be brother-sister love.

What to do:

Keep your male/female friend around, if he/she truly is your friend and respects your decision to spend less time with her once you have a guy/girlfriend. That is the one that loves you like a sista/bros and can never even imagine being intimate with you. On the other hand, ditch him/her like spoiled plantain if she/he confesses his/her love for you and you don’t feel the same.

This may potentially harm your relationship with your boy/girlfriend and the relationship between you two. Things will definitely be awkward after a confession like that,she/he may even become jealous of your boyfriend. Or the other way around if you are the one that ends up having feelings for him/her. Now, if you both have mutual feelings, then go for it. I have heard many happy endings from friends turned lovers. The fact is a friendship builds a strong and solid foundation to a successful and healthy relationship.

Be cautious when a woman/man asks, “Can I be your friend?”, chances are he/she is asking to be your lover. Look for someone that can be both your friend and lover.

Seriously, have you ever been in a situation where you find yourself asking the question ''Why do I even bother?" Lemme start the rant: Imagine that you are to open a domiciliary account in one of the so-called first generation banks in Nigeria(ooh yeah by the way, if u're going back home for summer, and need a new account, go straight to GTB, they are the most consistent of the bunch...personal op and proven fact...)

Anyhuu, they will ask you to get some signatories. Now imagine you are with your sister who happens to get all three in 5 minutes in the same banking hall....haba, u think?? Well that happened to me.Finally sha, I used my groundnut and thought to myself"why can't she help me out....sharpguy ness abi??

Next scenario, you are to go out on a date with this gorgeous chick, a person you have been watering your mouth all week to kiss/knack/wtever, and then your older brother sees her picture mistakenly and tells you "I used to hit that"....ouch right?

Ruined Yukos seeks billions from Russia at rights court

Executives from defunct oil giant Yukos told Europe‘s top rights court Thursday that Russia had waged an illegal campaign to drive the company to bankruptcy, in a multi-billion-dollar claim, Agence France Presse reported.

Former Yukos bosses and stakeholders asked the court to award them 98 billion dollars in compensation (72 billion euros), the largest sum ever sought in a case before the European Court of Human Rights.

Their lawyers contended the Russian state acted illegally when it unleashed a barrage of measures against what was then Russia‘s biggest company, starting with injunctions in 2000 and culminating with the firm‘s liquidation in 2007.

Yukos founder Mikhail Khodorkovsky, formerly Russia‘s richest man, is serving an eight-year sentence for a fraud and tax evasion conviction in 2005 but his legal troubles appear far from over.

”This was an expropriation by any other name,” Yukos lawyer Piers Gardner told the court in Strasbourg at the opening of the one-day hearing.

It was the first time in the decade-long saga that Yukos and Russian lawyers met face-to-face in an independent court, whose ruling will be binding on Russia as a member country.

The seven-judge panel began deliberations almost immediately after the hearing and is expected to deliver a ruling later this year.

”Yukos‘ contention is that it fulfilled its responsibilities and paid its taxes just as any other taxpayer would,” Gardner told a news conference following the brief, three-hour hearing.

”At the end of 2003, out of a virtually clear-blue sky, everything changed. There are political elements to this change,” he said.

The lawyer argued that Moscow authorities moved with ”speed and ferocity” against Yukos, seizing assets worth 33 billion euros to settle a tax bill of 2.8 billion euros.

Lawyers for the Russian state retorted that Yukos‘s claim was groundless and urged the rights court to reject it while maintaining Moscow‘s view that the firm was engaged in massive tax fraud in the early 2000s.

Moscow‘s action against Yukos, they argued, was in the public interest.

The court is to decide whether Russia violated Yukos managers‘ rights to property, rights to a fair trial and rights to be shielded from arbitrary legal proceedings, all of which are enshrined in the European convention.

The Yukos case and Khodorkovsky‘s plight have been held up by some critics of the Kremlin as examples of Moscow‘s ruthlessness in dealing with businesses that refuse to toe its line.

Khodorkovsky‘s supporters have long argued that the charges were trumped up to jail the tycoon in revenge for daring to finance the opposition when Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was president.

But Russia insists the businessman and his partners are guilty of massive financial crimes stemming from the controversial privatisation deals of the 1990s.

Founded in 1993, Yukos declared bankruptcy in 2006 and its assets were sold at auction in 2007.

On the eve of the Strasbourg case, Khodorkovsky claimed in an opinion piece published in a Russian newspaper that the justice system was being used to steal property from businessmen.

”Until you‘ve found yourself in the paws of the system, you know nothing about it. The system is essentially a united enterprise whose business is legalised violence,” Khodorkovsky wrote in Nezavisimaya Gazeta daily.

In a related case, the Strasbourg court ruled in 2007 that Russia had violated the rights of Platon Lebedev, Khodorkovsky‘s associate at Yukos, and awarded him 3,000 euros in damage.

Khodorkovsky, 46, has been on trial in Moscow since April on fresh charges of embezzling millions of tons of oil and money laundering that could see him jailed for another two decades.

Both Khodorkovsky and Lebedev have served jail time in the bleak Siberian province of Chita.

Mayne, the rate at which I go for weddings needs to reduce.....abi i be gay???(absolutely not by the way!!!) I brought this formula with me as I was coming back from 9ja which enables me to go for as much weddings as possible, and of course, at a cheaper rate....hehe

3 yrs ago, when I was about to finish uni, there was this babe ti o dun, omo ti o bad, sezzy, bad ass mamacita, in fact, lemme stop heaping praises on her cuz mehn, she fine no be small.(my mouth was watering while typing this, and i was getting horny as well.)

So, this lovely lady (Naomi) wanted a brother to tutor her and I agreed to do that with all pleasure. OOh yes ooh, I am back in JD....A few days back, me and my mate went out for a drink, hoping to catch a match along the way too. After making conscious effort to look good, I met dude already going googoo eyes for this random whitey. As I made my way towards them, I noticed the knockers on shawty( did I hear someone say BOBBIE/ARA), and I started to see what ma guy was really interested in the lady for..... Me??

This love thing

It seems like you can't go anywhere without coming across or hearing about a new reality dating show where (insert random celebrity with not much to lose here) looking for "love." I'm not sure why we really tune in. We know that the celebrity and the "contestants" vying for his or her love aren't really looking for love. They're looking for notoriety. Yet, we keep coming back every week because we think that people will change and love will eventually bloom and take hold.

Unfortunately, love rarely does, if it even does so at all. The reunion shows always tend to reveal some level of dissatisfaction, and in some cases the relationships were over way before the reunion show even tapes. Yet, celebrity after celebrity keeps running to attach themselves to these shows. Even former contestants get shows (Tiffany "New York" Pollard and Frank "The Entertainer" come to mind).

Last year, Ray J (Brandy's brother and singer in his own right) jumped into the fray and got his own show Vh1 "For the Love of Ray J." That show just wrapped its second season last week with a reunion show. In the first season, he picked a Joanna "Cocktail" Hernandez, someone who was deemed a "gold digger" from her first stint on reality show "The Bad Girls Club." Were we surprised that just a few months after the first season ended; reports came flooding in that they were broken up? Fast forward to last week's reunion, in which Cocktail returned to taunt season two winner Mz. Berry by saying she actually saw Ray J recently. Mz. Berry indicated that she hadn't seen Ray in five months.

The ensuing video is vile, with Ray J accusing Cocktail of losing him because she didn't know how to set boundaries in the relationship, so he didn't either. He calls her all kinds of expletives and appears genuinely upset that she would tell the truth about his ways not only on television, but to Mz. Berry. Let's not forget that earlier in the show, he basically lamented that he hadn't chosen another contestant called Jaguar!

This is not the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last. I would say that Ray J is just using these women, but that's not fair, because they are using him just as he was using them. Cocktail doesn't seem to be hurt at all, and is making a little "name" for herself (if you would call it that) in celebreality-dom. Mz. Berry I am sure won't be hurt for long either as she has probably gained enough notoriety for her modeling career.

Ray J wasn't looking for love on his show; he was looking for attention, and more fame. Had love sprouted for him and one of the women, that would've been an added bonus, but the only love he was looking for, was the kind of love that comes with paid appearances at nightclubs and paparazzi.

Nobody should look for love on television because they won't find it. Ray J, Flava Flav, Brett Michaels, and all the others definitely knew this. Don't let them fool you. The kind of folks that say they are looking to seduce and fall in love with a celebrity on television aren't the kind of folks that you want to be in a relationship. They're chasing a thrill, and real loves loses its thrill sometimes, but it gives way to something way more valuable and precious: simple satisfaction.

Ray J was able to dismiss these women easily because he did not get attached, and had no intentions of getting attached in the first place. The same goes for the women. It must be saddening for Ray J to have realized that not one of those women was there for love, but for fame first, maybe love after.

Truth is, finding love is best done in private, and will usually be successfully discovered away from cameras and production assistants who willingly provide tons of alcohol and inspire tons of drama. Real love isn't something that just develops with some makeup artists, lighting and eager cameras. No amount of fame or money is going to influence love.

They called me to join the caretaker committee and I said no. I wanted to watch what was happening. That was my position. When it was two weeks to go, people had already bought forms to contest for the election. I paid N80,000. Some other people paid money for different positions. You came and said we should not hold any election again. That was when you decided you wanted a government of national unity. I began to see the handwriting on the wall. I began to see that somebody was more interested in this guild than the practitioners. That was the resolute point where I stood my ground. This whole thing has been narrowed down to the same BoT. Ejike might not be wrong after all. They want to make a stooge and use him. They have been doing that for ten years. We need to move ahead whether they are there or not. Why should they come to tell me to be a vice president? For what?

But is the situation better, now that the guild is split into factions?

If we can‘t get the right thing from AGN, we will not remain with a guild that lacks integrity. It is paramount at this point that we stand up to say whether AGN is to be or not to be. If we need to work with this AGN, we go ahead, we structure it and we work with it. If we don‘t want to work with AGN, we move ahead and begin to operate so that people will not be taking the benefits of our efforts. I am sure that those people taking the benefits of our efforts are the ones at the head of this whole crisis.

It was alleged that one very important personality gave you a large sum of money to fight for the AGN presidency. How true is it?

Who is this politician? It would be nice if you could mention his name so that he would read this and know whether you are saying the truth. This is an information you are giving me. This is their apparatus. They just want scandal, malicious scandal. I have not stepped into the office. I have not signed any paper so far. I have not seen any governor. If I have seen anybody in power, the person is just my personal friend and we saw on personal business. I have not done any business with anybody in governance in the last one year. So where is this story coming from? It is just their weapon of war. They paint you as black as they are so you can all be in the same black shade. Nobody has given me a dime. I don‘t belong to the group that goes around to beg for peanuts. We have an agenda. When we are set, we will present them, we will follow them up properly and achieve them. Why would a governor ‘dash‘ me one million naira? Did I lose my mother? Is my wife in coma? Do I have a terminal illness that would warrant me needing assistance? They just want to run me down. But beyond that, the whole guild knows that it is malicious. The story is just baseless.

Now that the guild is in disarray, what do you think you can achieve?

We are achieving lots of things. We have the state chapters on our side. We have the big actors on our side. What we are praying for is lasting peace. Inasmuch as I know I would forge ahead, I still would want my brother around so that we can do it the right way.

Who is your brother?

Segun Arinze. I am giving him some space and I want him to take advantage of the space. If he doesn‘t take advantage of the space, we move on. We will not wait for him. How long are we going to keep on licking the remnants of the pots? Why don‘t we eat the real meal? We are moving on. We have programmes that are very formidable and we are starting very soon.

How come you decided to run for the AGN presidency?

We all know this job. Do you know how many actors that call me everyday from Zamfara and other states telling me they want to get involved? I have been so critical of the way things are. Why are artistes working around without contracts? How do you get royalties to be paid? Of course, some people do not want those royalties to be paid. That is what we are suffering. I looked at it, because I am involved, because I am regarded in this industry as a Godfather, because I am respected, I should not let the guild down. This industry will take care of our children‘s children yet unborn. My son might want to be a lead actor tomorrow. There should be enabling conditions that are left by people like us. I am acting on the impulse of the Tsunami that has been on the ground. That is why I am involved.

But some people feel that you decided to get involved in other to remain relevant in the industry because nobody offers you roles anymore.

That is too cheap. How much roles do I need? The industry was terminated a long time ago when you stopped hearing of Idumota, Pound Road Aba and Upper Iweka. It was truncated then when I was making noise about Emeka Mba trying to kill our industry. Nobody answered me. People felt I was just expressing my own personal feelings. But right now, movies are not being shot. The ones shot are being shot by the Alaba boys. They would shoot a one part film and divide it into four parts. I don‘t want to be a part of that. I am clear in my statement. I am not a man that says one word and does another thing. By the time you bring a good story and slit it into three different stories, it would lack focus and message. That is not the home video I know. When you bring such scripts to me, I tell you to go and get my boys. For me, I took the back bench, not because I have stopped shining, not because they stopped bringing scripts to me, but I have to be sure the movies are just in two parts. Whoever is saying that is just talking trash. If I am no longer acting, don‘t I have other businesses that are putting food on my table? AGN does not have an account. Even if there is an account, you are not sure there is 50 naira there. So how would that be my ambition or my hope to stay alive? It is not.

Do you support Emeka Mba‘s reforms?

I will not be because his reforms have not shown any feasibility. You want to bring in a new chicken to lay golden eggs. Allow the old chicken to lay its own eggs so there would be room for competition. Competition drives the world. Do not try to pack up existing product to start a new one. That was my message. But Emeka kept moving on because he had the government on his side and he had the so called producers on his side. They (producers) were the ones that sold our rights cheaply to African Magic. They didn‘t consult us. They were the ones that went and borrowed money from big banks and they never paid back as such, scaring away sponsors from us. They are the same ones that carry out illicit transactions with the guild and the industry. These producers would collect money from marketers and shoot a movie that is more or less, rubbish. Then the marketers decided that since the money is their own, they may as well see how the money is being used. We started earning those big money when the marketers took over. They came to operate the business on a normal business terrain. Things improved. But they kept calling the marketers illiterates. You that is literate, what have you done for the industry? How many of them in that Producers Guild, have shot a movie in the last 15 or 10 years? Now we celebrate the cinemas today, who are the ones taking Nigerian movies to the cinemas? Desmond Elliot is an actor. Emem Isong is in the creative department. Stephnie Okereke is an actor. We are still the ones doing these things. The producers are just running around creating ideas to rip off people. I hear of the 12 ambassadors progamme on TV with some flabby things coming to say that they are the new faces in the industry. Who told them that Nigerians are tired of the old faces? Why the interest of terminating the old faces. How has his board affected the industry?

Some of your colleagues were made ambassadors of a multi-national company. Some people said you were not chosen because you were involved in scandals

There is no star that has not been associated with a scandal. There just can‘t be stardom without scandals. I was in the multinational‘s house. I was invited. The figure they mentioned to me was not okay for my stardom. That is just the issue. Thank God for the company. I love what they are doing. But I still feel I should be paid better. That was why I didn‘t do it. It is a beautiful idea. I love it. But you have to pay my bill. I have a negotiating power. But we are still in touch. We have other projects that we can do together. But for that particular project, I leave it for my younger boys. Let my children enjoy it. I pray they better know what they do with that money because they would be broke soon if they don‘t know what they are doing.

Some people say you are

very arrogant

This is not arrogance. This is knowing who you are. When you know who you are, you know how to address your issues. I come to find out that many of my colleagues are not totally educated. They agree with whatever you say. That is just the problem. I know where I am coming from. A couple of my colleagues are working in oil companies today. Some are legislators. Some are in the government. If you know such people, you can‘t settle for less. People love to judge me by their own mindsets. I love it. My greatest strength is when I am underestimated. I don‘t flaunt myself at public functions. You don‘t tell me that because one governor is doing something, all of us have to be there. Why should I do that if I am not a party decoration or a balloon or ribbon? I should have a role to play if I am attending such an event? I can add to the nation. I have added to the nation and I can do more. I am not just a decoration. It is not about arrogance. It is about knowing who you are.

Have you finally made up with your colleague, Jim Iyke?

I never had a fight with Jim Iyke. That is one young boy I love so much. If he knows how much I love him, he will be fighting you people for all this. We don‘t have any stress. You do have misunderstandings with you own colleagues in the office. Because we are stars, our own is overblown. Jim is fine. I am going to give him a call very soon as his president. We are still friends. If I see him tomorrow, I will still say hi. One thing is this I am still his senior. In age, I am older. In the industry, I am still older. If that is settled, we are friends. There must be due process. We can‘t sideline something by doing gra gra or agidi. Jim and I are friends but statuesque must be maintained.

Some of your colleagues record music albums, these days. Do you intend to do the same thing?

It is laughable. It is very un-focused and very irritating of a diva or a star who has made name to get involved in such. If I must sing today, if I don‘t see Sony Records, then I am not singing. That means I have not hit the crest. My stardom is already higher than whatever recording company we have in Nigeria today. What do you want to sing that 9ice has not done better? Do you want to go on the same terrain with Tuface? What do I want to sing? Let us give that department to where it is due. Lets focus on other things. My music should be able to meet the standards that I have created with music. I ration things properly. I don‘t rush out.

You are hardly seen at social functions

My colleagues have bastardised it. A couple of us took it as a leeway to lack of jobs. It is because of such a nuisance that it came to a point when they were opening Tinapa and they were texting everybody to come and pick up tickets at the airport. I sent a reply to the person that they should send the tickets to my office if they were serious. You need to treat me properly. This is a star. This is not how it is done in Hollywood. A star might be wearing rags, but when he enters an event, it becomes a style. Maybe we have not defined stardom properly. We should learn to use stardom properly. You don‘t see a Sunny Ade at every function, do you?

What do you hope to achieve in the nearest future?

I want to have an AGN that has an address. I want an AGN that has a residential contact. I want an AGN that can fend for itself without running around to the government and stakeholders and individuals to assist them. I want an AGN with an autonomous chapters.

But right now, you are not working from the secretariat

Right now, the secretariat is under lock and key. For peace to reign, we are operating away from there. The other faction is not there either. But very soon, the logics will reign.

Are you saying you will not step down for anybody?

Step down for what? We need to have integrity. We lack men of integrity in AGN.

Minister of Information and Communication, Prof. Dora Akunyili, Friday, rejected the apology of ex-Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Michael Aondoakaa, as she has threatened to go to court next week if Aondoakaa does not in seven days, issue a clear apology to her and publishes it in the media, including The Nation, the newspaper in which Aondoakaa issued his offensive statement earlier this week.

Aondoakaa had earlier in the week said Akumyili’s memo to the Federal Executive Council to empower Goodluck Jonathan as Acting Presidentas,cheap popularity and personal.

“What she is trying to do is self-seeking: let her go and confront herself with what happened in NAFDAC.”
But Akunyili had last Tuesday threatened legal action against Aondoakaa, who was last Wednesday removed as the AGF apologised by telling him in a letter to clarify the comments in the story within seven days or face legal action, leading to Aondoakaa adopting a conciliatory apology to Akunyili, saying, “ the import of the last sentence, to the effect that ‘let her go and confront herself with what happened in NAFDAC’ was meant to be in the positive but was wrongly presented in the negative.

“The correct import of the above quoted words is that the honourable minister had already earned a reputation for herself while at NAFDAC and needs not seek to do more by embarking on the present course of action to the detriment of a resolution already adopted unanimously by members of the FEC. Accept the assurances of my highest regards and consideration.”

But in a letter to Aondoakaa on behalf of. Akunyili, Kop Odidika of Sower & Messuarius Solicitors, said the former AGF’s letter to Akunyili was unacceptable, as Aondoakaa had “most disingenuously tried to put a spin on an otherwise clear and unambiguous statement that has only one interpretation, to wit: that our client committed some untoward acts while at the helm of affairs in NAFDAC.”

He described Akunyili’s integrity as unimpeachable. “Her tenure at NAFDAC can accurately be described as the golden years of that establishment as no other head, whether prior to, or subsequent to, her appointment has achieved so much as to even merit comparison with her

It's that time of the year, where unlike Christmas; most people find themselves at a loss for what to get their special someone. You don't want to go all out because it's Valentine's Day, but you don't want to put in little effort either.

Well, here is my list of Valentine's Day Must-haves that you can get that special someone, use for yourself, or share with your special guy or girl to make it truly special.

1) Be a "Soldier of Love": If you haven't heard (or have been living under a rock), the indomitable and lovely Sade has dropped her long awaited (I waited 10 years for this) album, "Soldier of Love" on Tuesday and it is fire. Play this on your iPod dock, or set the mood through your sound system, with some mellow, sultry and smooth grooves. With singles like "Skin," you can't go wrong. For added romance, play it while sitting in front of a cozy fire (with or without a boo), especially if you're facing crazy snow on the East Coast.

2) Get your "Emeril" on: Who says you have to spend a small fortune at a fancy restaurant? It won't be as intimate because couples will come out in droves! 8) Step in the name of love: If you want to get a little more interactive, take some dance lessons with your sweetie. Get extra close while learning to salsa dance or tango. Check your local paper online in the weekend section to see if there are any classes. Single? Don't worry. It's a good time to go alone (or with a friend) and meet another single guy or girl who's looking for someone to dance with. It also beats the busy club scene.

9) Scavenger hunt: Leave notes with romantic sayings and sexy quips all over your house so that your boo can find them when they least expect it. Put it in his briefcase or in his coat pocket, and put it in her purse or with her lunch for a pleasant surprise.

10) Write on it: Instead of relying on greeting cards, write your own poem for your man or your lady telling them how much they mean to you. Cutting down to the chase....In 2003, I gushed my heart out to a chick who I thought had the hots for me. I was in Senior high then and was in the prime of my adolescence. I pulled out all the stops for her, bought some toblerone, a bunny, and a pendant that some shady guy at a boutique in Nicon Hilton for about 17 geez(yes ooh, i remember naaw, afterall sharpguy papa na accountant) ....THe bouncing wey that shikk give me ehn, infact, my blood pressure increases whenever I think about it ...

Flashback over, THe remarkable thing happened yesterday; my boss kinda asked me out( i will say kinda because she dint say it in plain terms. She asked me what I was doing tomorrow(which is today and then she asked me if she could book that time). I agreed, not knowing what I was letting myself into.

When I got to her crib(well, it wasn't anything I hadn't seen<>) and then i slowly found out that her hubby was deceased and she wanted someone to go with her to the memorial site. To crown things up, my stupid paddy(Rose), is it wrong to have a female paddy???, called and reminded me bout our "date"......reason for this?? we go out on a date before vals day to remind ourselves that we are not like the val-groupies who go out only on vals day.(we still go out on different dates on Vals day though).

.....One oyinbo guy bash my car yesterday around 11 am, and he thought I was the driver. I sharply reminded him not to talk anyhow to me and then some of the newspaper vendors who had tasted of my christmas/new year generosity sharted mean-muggin on him, i mean they were about to "arrange his clothes properly". I promptly told them not to and he brought out his business card, about 60k in 1000 naira notes(when i counted it sha, i saw it was about 40something sha) and sped away. The guy was probably lebanese or better yet, of Arabic ancestry. I was feeling good with myself when all those murrafuckas started hailing me as their area father who takes good care of his children and so, i had to part with a good 12geez(abeg ooh, i dey feel credit crunch, i no be purebred ajebor).

Thank God For His Protection and all the good things He blesses us with....

I was at the Aristotle getting my grown man on(sha, i was sipping on some random wine and reading thisday) and i saw this fine lady staring at me. Initially, I glanced back, smiled and then continued my analysis of the talented Mr. Simon Kolawole's column, but then (you know how when someone stares at you, you get that "eye drilling into ur soul effect" right?) I had this feeling that she was still staring at me. So, what to do? I started pumping my morale up cuz u see, this mamacita was fine. I need to post the various forms of beauty for y'all to get what i am saying.See eh, she fine no be small, and then she was crossing her legs just to drink soda ooh.

Anyways, I started pumping myself up morale-wise:

I quickly started cewing on some tictacs when I still tried to check on the lady. Some other sharp-baba(baba in the sense that he was actually looking like my dad) walked past me, pulled the opposite seat next to her and then started ranting away. I could even hear his effing retarded laughter. 1 minute turned to 2 and from there to 5 minutes. i started getting pissed when all of a sudden he got up and fumed away.

Capitalizing on the misfortune of this dulling wanker, i sharply got up, walked towards her and as i was stretching my hand to shake hers and introduce myself, I pulled it back and said "ooh i am sorry". I turned around and smiled to myself, because this was one of my plays. he he

Sha, she fell for it and then said "please wait, I think I know you from somewhere"

I couldn't dull myself anymore and then i turned to her, smiled and asked her where she knew me from. She said that she knew me from Unique tutorials and then we shared our many tales of uncle Joe and the others, talked at great length and then I asked,

"Why was your dad annoyed with you"

"ooh my gosh, that was not my daddy you dim-pet" she replied.

Now, i did not know the meaning of the word dim-pet, but the janded accent she used to reply it was soo sweet that I just laughed in my most I-am -not-tripping voice. She then explained that she was actually trying to read the caption of my newspaper and that was why she was staring(WTF RIGHT??). She also said that when she saw the face behind the paper, she was contemplating the right manner of approach and how to meet me.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - R&B diva Beyonce dominated the 52nd Grammys here Sunday with six awards, edging out country star Taylor Swift who finished the music industry extravaganza with four prizes.

Beyonce -- who had topped the nominations with 10 nods -- won the prestigious Song of the Year award for her hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)", which also earned her the best female R&B vocal award.

The former Destiny's Child singer also snagged Grammys for best R&B song for "Single Ladies" and best contemporary R&B album for her chart-topping "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" as well as best traditional R&B vocal performance for "At Last."

"Wow, thank you so much. This has been such an amazing night for me," Beyonce said after collecting the best female pop vocal performance, her sixth award of the night at the Staples Center.

However Beyonce -- who dazzled the audience with an electrifying performance -- was forced to share the honors in the other blue riband categories of Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

Swift scored a stunning victory in Album of the Year for "Fearless" while the Kings of Leon looked as surprised as anyone else when they were named winners of Record of the Year for "Use Somebody."

"Oh my god," Swift said after winning Album of the Year. "I just hope that you know how much this means to me. Oh my god.

The performance saw the star-studded audience rise to their feet for an ovation before Jackson's two eldest children Prince Michael and Paris appeared to accept a lifetime achievement award on behalf of their late father.

Meanwhile Rihanna enjoyed a triumph of sorts after winning in the best rap/sung collaboration category for "Run This Town" with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Rihanna was assaulted before last year's Grammy ceremony by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, an incident which largely overshadowed the awards.

Garage Door

The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open. His assistant walked up to him and said, 'This morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?' The boss told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office puzzled by the question.

As he finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was open, and zipped it up. He then understood his assistant's question about his 'garage door.'

He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her desk to ask, 'When my garage door was open, did you see my Hummer parked in there?'

An elderly gentleman....

Had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%

The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect.. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.'

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he d didn't need my help to leave the hospital.

After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.

On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.

'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember ..

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.

'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'

'Sure..'

'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.

'No, I can remember it.'

'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so not to forget it?'

He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'

'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks.

Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'

Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.. She stares at the plate for a moment.

'Where's my toast ?'

A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:

'So I hear you're getting married?'

'Yep!'

'Do I know her?'

'Nope!'

'This woman, is she good looking?'

'Not really.'

'Is she a good cook?'

'Naw, she can't cook too well.'

'Does she have lots of money?'

'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'

It’s inevitable that, no mater how passionate your relationship is, you have to cope with the dreaded infidelity. But have you noticed that infidelity has become a sort of ‘so-what’ as far as lovers are concerned?

Yet we all have ways of coping with infidelity – some see it as a nuisance they have to tolerate until it goes away, if ever. Others see it as the height of betrayal that might take them forever to forgive, but never to forget. “My wife is a very passionate woman”, Oye, a 49-year old mechanical engineer sadly noticed when discussing his wife’s infidelity.

“What kept on playing through my mind was how she could be the same passionate way with another man. I mean, why would she want another man in the first place? We had everything going for us, the kids were doing well and she had a respectable job. Why jeopardize all that by opting for an affair?” Passion’?

Oye sneered when I mentioned the word. What passion would a middle-age woman be looking for? But Gladys his wife had a different story to tell. “He seldom listened to what I said in the few years preceeding the affair,” she confessed? “Whenever I discussed anything with him, he scarcely listened.

And then he became a member of a couple of elite clubs and started club-hopping. Most nights, he would go to the club after work, then come home drunk. Whenever I complained, he was always ready for a verbal war. Accusations would fly left, right and centre. I reminded him a few times that we hadn’t made love for months. Whenever I tried, he always shrugged me off.

“When one of my do-gooder friends warned I should wean him off his girlfriend, I saw red. He was always bringing her to the club she alleged and they were often lovey-dovey in public glare. The day I dropped in casually at the club’s bar and found the two of them almost eating each other up, I felt really deflated. Oye looked defiant and the silly girl just looked at her hands as if there were some interesting messages written on them. I felt really sick. I just turned on my heel and left. “He had some funny stories to tell when he came home but something kind of died in me that night. I was in the office when Lani, an old friend dropped by shortly after this incident. I just wanted a male opinion, so I told him what had just happened to me.

That I knew Oye had had the odd affair, but to make this last one a sort of banquet was humiliating. He was furious at him and when he asked me to come with him for lunch, I agreed. We sent for lunch in his office with a bottle of wine he had in the fridge. We were nicely tipsy as we polished off the wine on his office sofa.

When he tried to kiss me, which he’s done often, I didn’t push him off. In fact I desperately wanted him to kiss me. This would be the perfect revenge for me. The kissing turned more passionate and he gently turned the key in the lock. Then we made love there in the sofa. It was frantic and steamy. First my husband had stopped making love to me. Then he’d cheated. Now I’d cheated on him too, Game, set and match.’

Sherifat, the friend had always complained she had this gut feeling that her husband was sleeping with Ranti. “She’s told me of all the small contracts he help her corner in the oil company he works for”, fumed Sherifat. “She brings gifts to the house too to say thank you and domestics have snitched she sometimes comes to the house whenever I travel…”.

So what was Ranti doing at her party? Come to think of it, why are they seeming good friends all of a sudden? “Because I’m now sleeping with her husband”, Sherifat said smugly. “You know I’ve started this corporate gifts business and Ranti’s husband has been a big help in the success of my business. NNPC is broke, says finance minister

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) may not be able to pay up its debts as a result of cash flow problems, the Minister of State for Finance, Remi Babalola, said at the weekend in Abuja.

Mr. Babalola, who was speaking with journalists during a workshop on ‘Understanding the operations of the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria" organised by the NNPC for members of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), said the only reason the corporation has not paid the N450 billion debt owed to the federal government was "its cash flow problem."

He said: "We (the FAAC) do not have a problem with the NNPC. There would be a problem if the debtor said he does not agree it was owing. But, this is a debtor that has owned up, and has even spoken that there is no debate about the fact that it is owing N450 billion. So, where then is the problem? The problem now, however, is about their cash flow situation, and how they would be able to pay back the money. That is a different ball game altogether."

Asked why he claimed there was no problem when the NNPC has consistently refused to either pay up the debt nor provide a schedule on when and how the repayment would be done, despite several demands by the committee, Mr. Babalola said, "I know for a fact that the way NNPC is as at today, they do not have the cash flow to pay the debt. There is no doubt in my mind about that.

"First, what we tried to do was to make them acknowledge that they are owing; which we have succeeded to establish that they are owing. That is a good step forward. How are they going to pay? There are so many ways they can pay. It is just like when Nigeria was owing over $30billion. They can even borrow to be able to pay."

When asked to speak on why the Committee, which is composed of Commissioners of Finance and Accountant Generals of the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), had to allow the debt accumulate to over N450 billion, the minister pointed out that "it was a long term thing," assuring that the government would ensure that it does not happen again.

On what government is doing to stop the NNPC from continuing with the practice of always deducting subsidy (petroleum products imports) from revenues meant to be transferred to the Federation Account, Mr. Babalola said a structure is being worked out to take care of that.

"I think we (FAAC) also don't want to create something that would cause confusion in the supply chain. We would work out an arrangement whereby before they can make any withdrawal, they would need to actually go through the PPPRA (Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency) to make sure that we are comfortable with the auditing."

Discrepancies in accounts

Last year, following the huge discrepancies discovered in the accounts of the NNPC, its management was asked to appear before the FAAC for a proper reconciliation of its books after it claimed that the debt was as a result of deductions for payments of joint venture cash call, as well as subsidies for importation and supply of petroleum products.

After refusing to honour the invitation on several occasions, FAAC, during its meeting last December, expressed strong reservations for the corporation's behaviour, issuing an ultimatum to its Group Managing Director, Mohammed Barkindo, to furnish it with the framework detailing the repayment schedule.

Workshop in place of repayment plan

Rather than provide the schedule during the committee's meeting early this month, NEXT gathered that the NNPC management offered to sponsor a workshop that would help educate members on the operations of the nation's oil and gas industry.

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Rilwanu Lukman, described the workshop as critical arguing it would help to increase the understanding of stakeholders on the oil industry, remove the doubt and suspicion as well as facilitate better service delivery.

In a 81-page presentation on "Upstream Contract Arrangements & Fiscal Regimes", the General Manager, Planning, National Petroleum Investments Management Services (NAPIMS), Victor Briggs, took participants through the operational processes in the nation's oil and gas industry, particularly on the compositions of operating and investment costs as well as how revenue accrue to the Federation Account from industry operations.

Mr. Briggs, who also spoke on the importance of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), said the inability to maintain industry funding level would imperil the funds available to FAAC in the short, medium and long term.

"Country's growth aspiration which is hinged on a significant contribution from JV oil and gas production volumes will not be attained. Government Revenues will be significantly improved by the passage of the proposed Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB)," he said.

Michael Jackson's Choreographer Teaches Dancing Filipino Prisoners 'This Is It' Routine

Michael Jackson was a fan of the more than 1,500 Filipino inmates who performed the choreography for his video "Thriller" in 2007 and created a viral hit.

Jackson watched the videos of Cebu Provincial Detention And Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) prisoners during breaks from his tour rehearsals for "This Is It," his choreographer Travis Payne said.

Payne recently contacted Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, and arranged to make a surprise visit to meet the performers in the high security prison, the Philippines' Manila Bulletin reported.

Payne spent two hours on Sun., Jan. 17, and Mon., Jan. 18, teaching the dancers the routines from Jackson's posthumous "This Is It" film.

"The Drill" is the last scene Payne and Jackson worked on together before the pop icon died in June. The clip was released over the weekend, days before the Tues., Jan. 26 release of the "This Is It" DVD.

The CPDRC performance videos of Jackson's "Thriller," "Dangerous," and the Village People's "Y.M.C.A," among others, are all well done.

But Payne, who worked with Jackson for more than 10 years, was able to take their performance to new heights. Their rendition of Jackson's "They Don't Really Care About Us" is comparable to the scene in "This Is It."

The "This Is It" version is a highlight of the film. It features a group of dancers who were digitally replicated to appear as an army. Payne's work with the CPDRC men brought this virtual sequence to real life.

The inmates were not initially receptive to participating in the choreographed dances, said Bryon Garcia, a security consultant for the prison. He suggested the activity to keep the prisoners busy during their downtime, the Manila Bulletin reported.

According to the New York Times, Bryon decided to post videos of the prisoners dancing online to publicize some of the positive changes he implemented at Cebu since joining the staff in 2004

e've all heard of some of the crazy things that go on between couples. Personally, I still haven’t been able to wrap myself around that one. Me, with my crazy self would be asking, "Why do you need a movie when you have me here?" But, that's just me.

Most women want to show their man that they are down for whatever, ride or die! So, is it really okay to go to a strip club with your man? Would he even want you there with him?

Many women say that they don’t have a problem sitting next to their man while he’s getting a lap dance or slapping some girl on her ass. Is it called insecurity for me to quote Whitney and say, “Hell to the naw!!” Some things are just better left alone. Besides, would your man be able to take sitting next to you while a male stripper was gyrating all up on you? I think not!
